The
climate at Golden Buddha Beach is typical of southern Thailand.
There is a dry season starting in November and ending in May, and
a wet season starting in May and ending in October. The rainiest
month is September, and the driest is February.
Many
vistors enjoy coming in the monsoon. The Tourism Authority is now
promoting this as the "Green Season", and indeed it is
characterized by lush foliage. During the monsoon season, it rarely
rains continuously for an entire day. There are showers, followed
by dry period when the sky is so clear you can see islands over
50 kilometers to the West. Often the downpours are followed by glistening
blue skies and colorful sunsets. Golden Buddha Beach is one of the
coolest places in Thailand during the hot season. Temperatures are
considerably lower than those in Bangkok and the North, and cooling
